Below you'll find detailed descriptions about the ingredients utilized in Blood Sugar Optimizer™ - exactly HOW it works & WHY it's better than other products. To get started, simply click on the ingredients below and a detailed description will appear under it.
L-Carnitine helps your body produce energy and plays important role in heart and brain function, muscle movement and many other body processes. Studies suggest that Carnitine acts as neurotransmitters in your brain and has been shown to help reverse mild age-related memory loss, sharpen thinking skills and concentration and enhance blood flow to the brain. Carnitine also functions as an antioxidant and promotes the production of glutathione, a free radical scavenger, in cells - which helps dramatically improve your immune system.1
Blood Flow Optimizer™ utilizes 3 specific forms of Carnitine because "regular" L-Carnitine just doesn't work too well. The combination of the below three, clinically proven "carnitine's" is designed to help
Acetyl L-Carnitine - Almost all the researched and clinical benefits of L-Carnitine, have been done with Acetyl L-Carnitine (also knowns as ALCAR), which is a more bioavailable form of L-Carnitine. It has especially been linked to increased blood flow to the brain as well as blood vessel health.2
L-Carnitine Fumarate - Is recommended by leading U.S. cardiologists for advanced cardiovascular energy support. In addition to being one of the most bioavailable forms of carnitine, l-carnitine fumarate provides fumaric acid, leading to a synergistic effect in cellular energy production in the mitochondria, which means more energy for your heart. This all translates to healthy oxygenation of heart tissue and provides an optimal energy supply.1
Glycine Propionyl L-Carnitine (GPLC) - Is used to treat poor blood circulation (peripheral vascular disease, PVD). PVD is often caused by diabetes or "hardening of the arteries" (atherosclerosis). Propionyl-L-carnitine is also used to treat congestive heart failure (CHF).3 The propionyl-L-carnitine/acetyl-L-carnitine combination is also used to treat chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
Carnitine has also been used as a supplemental therapy for preventing heart failure, increasing heart health and preventing heart attacks and angina4, meaning it not only increases blood flow and helps the health of your blood vessels, it also helps increase the health of the heart.
Most people do not obtain adequate amounts of magnesium in their diets and this is unfortunate because magnesium is one of the body’s most important minerals. It is required as a cofactor in hundreds of enzymatic processes within cells.
It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, promotes healthy cardiovascular function, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps maintain blood sugar and blood pressure levels already within normal range, and it is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis.1
Magnesium is a major factor in relaxing the smooth muscles within the blood vessels, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance and promoting a healthy cardiovascular system.2 Magnesium positively influences the bone mineral matrix and its ability to metabolize minerals needed for repair and rebuilding.
Magnesium has been shown to be very important in suppressing the effects of insulin resistance, a condition which inevitably leads to diabetes, meaning that magnesium is very important in the prevention of early diabetes.3
Scientific literature documents the need for a wide range of minerals, including calcium and magnesium, that are vital to maintaining strong, healthy bones. Moreover, there is strong evidence that dietary magnesium intake and supplementation improves the metabolic profile. Magnesium has also been shown to beneficially impact insulin resistance, serum lipid profiles, inflammation, endothelial function, oxidative stress and platelet aggregability — all needed for a healthy heart and vascular system!
Magnesium supplementation has been associated with reducing risks of cardiovascular disease and keeping the arteries and heart healthy4.
Because of the extreme importance of this vital mineral, Blood Flow Optimizer™ utilizes 4 specific forms for maximum absorption and tolerance, based on clinical studies.
NAC helps remove heavy metals and toxins, and boosts your immune system. Your body needs NAC (an amino acid) in order to make glutathione, the body’s most important antioxidant.1 Glutathione binds together toxins—including heavy metals, solvents and pesticides—for excretion. The more toxins you come into contact with (in foods, air, drugs, stress), the more support your body needs.
It fights Fibrin Buildup, which is an insoluble protein formed from fibrinogen during the clotting of blood. It forms a fibrous mesh that impedes the flow of blood (not what you want). This decreased blood flow leads to feeling of fatigue and gets you tired more easily, slowly leading to heart failure and a heart attack.
Nattokinase is nature’s very own natural blood thinner. It’s an all-natural non-GMO soybean extract that’s known to support healthy blood pressure and improve circulation to every part of your body, so you can feel young and energized. It is the only form of nattokinase shown in clinical research to naturally thin your blood, keep your blood vessels open, and support smooth blood flow.1 Plus, it’s far more potent than other leading nattokinase products on the market.2
On a final note, blood clots consist of two main materials, fibrin and platelets. While nattokinase contributes to normal blood clotting by helping maintain normal fibrin levels in your blood, the addition of Ginger and MAGNAMax™ Blend in Blood Flow Optimizer™, inhibits platelet aggregation and impacts how quickly platelets stick together.
Calcium is VERY important for your health and bones, but few people realize the negative impact it can have on your heart health because it needs to be absorbed properly. The correct forms of Magnesium (Magnesium Glycinate Chelate, Magnesium Citrate, Magnesium Aspartate, Magnesium Oxide) are required to help absorb the Calcium and thus, make your bones stronger and prevent osteoporosis.
But, there’s another problem… the calcium can collect on the walls of your blood vessels reducing their flexibility and having a negative impact on both circulation and blood pressure. Results of more than 10 years of follow-up were verified, also by Gast et al., who demonstrated that among K vitamins, the long-chain types of K2 (MK-7 through MK-9) are the most important for efficiently preventing excessive calcium accumulation in the arteries and prevention of arteriosclerosis.1
And this special form of vitamin K2 offers two-pronged protection (see below):
In fact, one impressive study showed that people with this highest intake of this very special form of vitamin K2, had the best cardio health profile!
It’s tough to get enough vitamin K from your diet alone, and there are several forms of vitamin K. They each come with benefits, but K2 is far more bioavailable than K1; it stays in the blood longer and is more effectively distributed throughout your body.
And there are several forms of K2, but don’t be fooled by inferior forms like MK-4 or MK-9. Because MK-7 is the only form of vitamin K2 that specializes in pulling calcium out of the bloodstream and delivering it to your bones where it’s needed most. MK-7 works by:
Helps reduce heart disease by reducing1
It also helps absorb the Calcium and thus, prevent arterial hardening
One clinical trial — the Cambridge Heart Antioxidant Study (CHAOS) — found a nearly 50% reduction in heart attacks in those who took daily vitamin E1. It also naturally helps thin the blood, like aspirin and similar drugs – but without any of the negative side-effects.2
Do you know how Aspirin was first discovered? ... It was in nature from the White Willow Extract, which is the original (or natural form of) aspirin because it contains a natural ingredient called “salicin” that’s similar to aspirin, but without any of the usual negative side-effects. Used in small dosages, it also helps naturally thin the blood and improve blood flow. It also acts as a natural anti-inflammatory.1
Ginger promotes an anti-inflammatory response and is a great substitute for aspirin, which many people can’t tolerate. But, that's just the beginning of the benefits of Ginger, which can also help1:
On a final note, blood clots consist of two main materials, fibrin and platelets. While Ginger Ginger and MAGNAMax™ Blend work together to improve blood flow and how quickly platelets stick together, the addition of nattokinase in Blood Flow Optimizer™, also helps maintain normal fibrin levels in your blood.
